is any way to clean your map sensor if damanged, or to fix it.
mine is damanged and is making my idle really weird and check engine light as well.
way to fix or have to buy a new one?

 

buy some computer cleaner ina compressed can, and from a fair distance spray to clean as it is fragile and expensive to replace. after that you should be good.

its gonna run you like 3 dollars.. cheap stuff.. the one i use is called "dust off" black and white can..

 

cool and spray like a foot away or how far would you say

 

1-1.5 feet is good.. and go in a sweeping motion so as to get any and all dust out of there... make sure there is no oil on it as that means your turbo seals are most likely going bad and could cause your maf to start acting up.

which map are you talking bout, the greddy or aem? or are talking about the stock MAF sensor? i just bought a MAF cleaner today from autozone..

my stock mas air flow sensor. i just did some dust off on it. i havent yet turned on the car to see my idle got fix. should i unplug my emanage and plug it back in to see if that makes a differeence or just start the car up and see if it did anything

 

jsut start the car and see if it just needed a simple cleaning.. if that doesnt work then look deeper into it.. take it one step at a time! haha

glad it helped and your idle is better.. i suggest getting a scan gauge II so you can clear your own codes if your going to keep getting the one for your cat.. whats weird is i have a catless DP catless 2.5 all the way from the turbo to the exhaust tip and no cel for that... no anti faouler either... hmm oh well.

 

well my check engine light isnt on anymore. so maybe it was just the maf

no its been on i havent figured out how to take it off when i did my last oil change.
i know its something stupid,
i think i have to turn the key all the way but not turn the car on and hold that set button but im not sure.
