i believe he meant where on the wastegate..... the vac line that goes to the side port on the wastegate cut that line(where ever you want) and tap the MBC into it

Ok and is that the general place to tap in? Cuz I have heard many different ideas but the one you said has come up the most.
And the mbc has two ports on it is one just for in and one out? Does it make a diff which side I use for in and out?

yes thats the general area...thats the only vac signal your wastegate is getting so thats where u tap, and yes it matters which way u install the mbc its a matter of a blown motor or not...

if u hook the mbc backwards itll overboost

u cant just hook the mbc to the vacuum manifold?
i hate having taps im worried ones going to leak lol.
i need to set my mbc up too so im keeping an eye on this.
btw how does one go about adjusting it? u start off at the lowest setting but will that mean 0 boost or will it be the springs determined psi?

Side port gets source from IM. Top port gets used for MBC or EBC. Read the directions from your manufacturer's BC as some will hook up different than others.

the lowest setting will be what ever your spring is

paul the top port doesnt always have to be used... some peoples kits cant even fit the top port without triming the radiator shroud, and for the BEST response as far as wastegate routing you want your side port getting its signal from the compressor housing

to be more exact any GOOD tuner will tell you to run the MBC to the side port because the way MBC are designed....

and they will tell you that if u have a EBC (electronic) then rout it with both side and top

Every controller is a little different.

My statement was referenced off of a TIAL gate, which this diagram supports my information buddy.
