Mishimoto products are designed for the budget-minded people. They are cheaply produced and generally do not last. If you're looking to replace the part often, then Mishimoto is for you.

Brock do not paint, anodize, or powder coat the intercooler........it will indeed be a way to hinder the cooling as the metal needs to disapate heat and covering it will hinder it,even road grime build up on it is going to hinder it.

Ask any HVAC tech and they will tell you the same thing, although temps are low in it and air is flowing the heat will stay with it if it cannot get it out......

Thanks for the input. Keep it coming. Thanks for the advice brian. I think I will go this route. I ahve heard many people who use them working fine and putting down good power. I understand though yes its not the top of the line intercooler. But its an intercooler and it will work. Yea i know its no P-tunign kit but it will be a kit put together using quality parts as far as i am concerned. Treadstone cast manifold and downpipe, dezod intercooler piping, turbonetics turbo, and i plan on usign an HKS SSQV BOV, a TIAL Wastegate, AEM F/ic, Quality injectors, Dezod turbo oil feed, return lines, Dezod hardware, Vac block, ACT clutch.

im a hvac teck painting it is ok if you use radiator paint and just do the front face most of the ccooling comes from fin pass or flow through not blunt face blowing. Dirt will make more of a difference then the paint 1/1000 of a inch of dirt can throw off pressures and temp on a hvacr systems same with dirt on a intercooler keep it clean keep it cool...

Can someone tell me why they don't rate intercoolers on cooling capacity like they do oil coolers? Would make product selection a lot easier.

If you've got a little extra $$, you may want to check out the Dezod ones. I'm running the vertical mount mid-grill in my xB and it works awesome.

This sucker is tiny but was able to give me 13 HP over the greddy intercooler on the same setup. They've got bigger ones as well.

I just think the dezod intercooler for the tC is a lil overpriced. 300 bucks for an intercooler? There are other quality intercoolers like vibrant or precision that work and are cheaper.

I'll definately give you that. Nothing else is short enough to fit in a 1gen xB midgrill though, tC lower doesn't have that issue. If you can afford it, they are nice. The precision isn't bad either. Haven't checked with Bell either yet, I'd assume they're good though coming from Corky Bell.

Everyone who has the radiator, knows (that's if they didn't know before they bought it like I did), that the drain plugs leak only after a month of using them. The rubber washer they put on the drain plugs are cheap and rot away only after a month of use. What happens then...you have to drain ALL of your radiator fluid "back" out so that you can teflon tape the drain plugs. And even then, it still sucks. I'm switching to the Koyo unit.
