Default MMW Header Install Problems w/ S.C

So I had a tcpete (great guy by the way) take a look at the MMW Header/S-pipe I have (3rd gen. I think, the header is all one peice) and we ran into some problems.

1)First of all getting the heat shield off of the header, may have to cut it or something.

2)Then actually getting the header in. We already know we have to remove the fan and either take out the radiator or drop it a few inches. We can't put the header in from the bottom because the oil return line is smack dab in the middle and getting it in from the top is gona be a a pain because of the shaft and I really don't want to have to take the shaft apart.

Has anyone installed this header with the s/c already in before? Any help?

really sounds like your going to have to go at it from the oil return line, it would probably be alot easier to do than taking apart the drive shaft.

From what we have encountered you can install it with everything there. Takes some work but it will go in.

id probably go with the return line solution... if not, try what Cee Dub mentioned... try to fanagle it in. the biggest problem i think your gonna come across is the heatshield on the stocky. Dremel maybe?! lol

you should take pictures so that people who might want to put headers after they get the S/C have some knowledge on how to do it. just a thought...
