so i geuss that means you would just rather keep running your mouth. this little back an fourth has gone on long enough. your comments are worthless. at least mikescion has some room to talk. unlike you, he can actualy drive. good luck to you on mabey one day making it into the low 13's.

All I gotta say is regardless if he runs the same exact times with 2 different kits, he has now spent more money on something that is by far superior in engineered quality, and will last and run a heck of a lot better in the long run. Once he gets rid of that junk emanage than he will be running 11's all day long no matter what tires he is running on. Theres only so much you can do with an emanage and no launch control on a fwd n/a-t car

which was done on what? A fully gutted car running a larger turbo than brett and more supporting mods? Also probly running on a tune with sky high timing not caring whether the crank walks or motor lets loose...am I close to that assumption?

If you are talking about the ScionSpeed car, then the answer to your assumption is Yes.

If you are talking about the ZPI car, then the answer is No. 12.1 @ 114 was on the 16G, GReddy Blue emange, Open diff, slicks, and can't remember if they had gutted it or ran it full weight at that time. No more supporting mods than any of us are running, ie..full exhaust, open dump, or whatever else.

Can someone help clarify the "supporting mods" for me as well? We all got clutches, exhaust, some means for keeping the motor from rocking, some of us have slicks, some of us have drag radials, some of us have street tires. What "supporting mods" in addition does one need to go faster? Standalone? We still can go faster without a standalone. So, what mods am I missing? What LSD? Again, faster times have been done without an LSD.

Stop throwing parts at the car, and work on driving what you have. That's the BEST mod you can do....AND it's FREE!

im sure we can belive the very trustworthy word of scion-speed, and kenny. they would never lie about something like mods to sell more kits.

the peakboost kit is better by far. i just need to get my launch dialed in. if i would have had a 1.8 60' with my new kit, and not let off at the end, it would be a 12.0-12.2 easy. this is going by the fact that 1/10 off of a 60', is 2/10 at the trap.

but like travis said. he's just trying to bust my *****. its ok. once i go back to the track and get a decent launch, he'll have to pull kenny's shlong out of his mouth, and make room for mine.

i cant go any faster with the e-manage because it will not add anymore fuel.

I dont remember zpi running the 12.1 on the 16g...maybe it was but I thought it was a 20g or a GT30 for some reason. I do remember they were runing slicks though, the car was gutted, open dump and a ridiculous tune...wasnt kenny notorious for throwing rods from his timing advanced thru the roof? The point of the matter is, anyone of you guys are capable of hitting 12's with what you have if your willing to up boost and timing...everything is gonna let lose on you whether it be after 1 run or 10 runs but it will happen eventually...the thing is though, nobody is a race team, nobody here has someone to tear down the block and rebuild it after a few passes so everything has to be done conservatively on piggybacks. Brett will absolutely hit high 11's once he gets a standalone, along with everyone else thats got a built block and a large frame turbine housing. You guys should all be proud of yourselves, not ifhgting over whos faster, you are all going out there and setting the bar for other scion owners that havent been around as long as us. The progression in 1/4 times has been amazing since the beginning of these cars.

I have an Idea. Lots of rambling on about what is better than what, who is faster than who... just gets tiring to read. I know because i get wrapped up in it too somtimes. You guys have spent so much time and $ on your cars, prove you are the best, or faster than the guy next to you. The Scion Shootout is happening again in Englishtown, NJ on Oct. 7th. I would not hesitate AT ALL to drive 10 hours to prove i am the best, or faster than someone, i have done it before. so sign up @ www.scionvip.com the drag portion has not been announced yet, but it is happening as i e-mailed the vip crew and they confirmed. Somhow i think that none of you will win the tC class... i put my $ on the guy who has won the tC class every time...
Why spend upward of $5k plus on ur car just to show up at ur local strip and post #'s on here, because those #'s don't seem to do much but cause arguments. Hope to see u guys there.

^^Thank you for the very wise words of encouragement. On that note, Brett you can have your thread back. I dropped it once, so don't stir the pot anymore.

Yeah simply, it was on a 16G. The Silver car had a 20G when it was running low 12's, and full interior on that one. The FM had a 16G on it and ran low 12s.

Like I said, all this would have been avoided if some people would just be a man about it. I had to call him out on all his previous trash talking. I don't get to trash talk often, so when I start reading, and my common sense kicks in and sees right through and in between the lines of what someone post, I'm going to call them out on it.

But yeah, like I said, I'm done.

i've allready explained a few times about the diff. if you cant grasp the concept then oh well. and you should be the last person claiming someone doesnt know what they are talking about when it comes to racing.

Sorry, if I don't believe your whole diff claim when there are a handful of cars with faster times and open diffs. Especially don't care to believe it coming from a guy who has never personally even cracked open his own transmission.

oh yea, in case you were wondering about the scale of this event, at the last shootout there were 150 Scions total, and somewhere in the range of 40-50 Scions racing. probably 10 boosted tC's maybe more. this aint no rinky-dink ZPI shootout.
If you have enough dedication to spend so much $ making ur car faster, and talk crap on here, back it up, u should have the dedication to hop in ur car and make the trip. End these arguments
