just noticed on the standalone "On 5 speed models, this system can eliminate the MAF sensor, however it must be left in place on the all models. The MAF must be retained for the stock ECU to control the shift points of the transmission and give 100% throttle plate opening. " how the heck does the ecu know what gears it's in if it's 5 speed??

I think they meant to put "AUTO" instead of "ALL", I am assuming of course...

On the 07 it knew and would close the throttle plate a great % when approaching redline. We did figure out that a multitude of signals provide this data to the ECU. So we took measure to ensure this does not happen. Part of this forumula is keeping the MAF. However, if we made some wiring changes and such, and you used an AEM IAT and a few other sensors, you could, in theory, eliminate the MAF.
