Im going to get the tc super charged from the dealer but i have not made my mind up if i want the trd catback will it be fine to run the stock exhaust until i decide?. Ive been in the shadows for a while reading and im kinda leaning to the percision axle back. any thoughts

Thanks

No problems running the stock exhaust with the S/C. It may be down on power a bit, but it won't hurt anything.

didnt someone also say that toyota recommends changing the exhaust system? i may be wrong, but i remember reading a post about that. it would be better if you upgraded the entire exhaust though. at least from what i have read in different posts.

Yeah, don't worry about upgrading at first. The only good thing that can come out of it is that it's financed with your car. I'd wait and buy a full 2.5" exhaust.

well i got the flint-mica, i put on the intake an short throw shifter. Right now the car is on a truck some where on its way and i asked how long it may take to arrrive and was told it will be here in the next 15 days, so basically i dont have the new car yet but paid for one.
On the down side. The super charger was not able to be financed in with the car because it is the first car that I have paid fully for my self. So long story short the super charger will be going on within the next 15 days just not included in the payments. I have to pay for this outa pocket.

beerrun, first of all, which intake did you "put on?" the TRD supercharger has it's own setup (correct everyone?), so if you bought some other intake from your dealership or aftermarket, you just wasted your money. second of all, the TRD exhaust is axle-back, not cat-back. definitely save your money and get an aftermarket catback rather than piecing together an axleback and other aftermarket piping. if i were you i'd just not buy the supercharger. are you aware that you can buy entry level turbo systems such as the zpi stage 0 for close to the same price as the supercharger? for the small price increase, you'd get FAR more power. judging by your posts so far, i'd research a lot more before you go F/I or anything else for that matter. i'm not insulting you. i understand that you don't actually have the tC yet, so you've got plenty of time to drift around these forums and take in the knowledge! lol happy modding, and congrats on the purchase!

sorry to post so late after all these months work has had me on planes and in hotels alot . yeah after i made my purchase i did opt for the trd ind intake the dealership ripped on me and i chose not to go FI. even though no FI i am still happy with my over all decision. plus to my understanding with the trd supercharger you have to check the oil level when you fill the tank...and if thats the case i would probably forget and blow the motor
