Default My S/C has tons of air flow coming out of it????

My S/C has a bunch of air flow. It sounds like its out coming air. has anyone experienced this yet with the S/C? HELP? I took it to Toyota and they said it sounds normal, but there is NO way in heck this is normal! My buddy is S/Crd as well and his does not make this noise. I think my seals are leaking or something can someone try and help out a little? I have MMW header set up and I think it might have heat soaked into the S/C...shed some light if you can...

It sounds like he actually may be having a legitimate issue if it was compared to somethign identical. Don't be so sarcastic to someone seeking help please. I am sure you at one time asked many questions that had less merit than this.

As for the OP Can you take pics of the effected areas? Can you feel air coming out of someplace or is it just sound?

yeah I can take some pics where the sound is coming out of...and brett if you must know I do know just a little bit about cars to know that this is NOT normal...of course the S/C is going to make some noise (air flow) thats what it does its called Forced Induction (there is lots of air involved silly) but anyway this is a LOT of air flow coming out I can hear it practically a block away. Let me find my camera and take some pics. Thanks for your help Andrew its nice to know that everyone on SL isn't out to try and make people feel like idiots we are all in this car building together and some of us know a whole lot and some don't, who cares.

calm down mr. sensitive. its called a joke. about your problem. i dont see how taking a pic is going to help. it's not like we are going to see the air comming out. do you have a boost gauge? if so what does it read? try turning the car off, putting an air hose sealed tight to the intake of the s/c, then pressureize the system and check for leaks.

yeah thats the problem I dont know if I am making full boost cause I just ordered my gauges. My idle is fine, as well as everything else. My car feels great its just hissing like crazy. I just got back from autowave and they took a real quick look at it but they were pretty busy so they only had a few minutes just to pop my hood and take a listen...Ill make that video tonight, but they even think its a vac or something leaking....I just hope its not the S/C itself. how do I know that I have the NEW S/C? anyway thanks for your guys interest!

Your BPV is probably stuck open or its installed backwards.

The noise is not coming from where the bpv is though its coming from the front of the block where the S/C sits. The bpv is installed properly though I just went and checked.

Maybe you have a leak where your headers meet up with the block.
