Default My venture with greddy ultimate.

Many know im now boosted with ptuning kit and motor injectors yada yada..

So before getting the haltech ive been using the greddy ultimate!

I contacted the guys at p-tuning since ive bought my kit motor and what not through them for a base map!

Toan quickly sent me over a extreamly nice map, (there race car map) modded for no WMI.

I uploaded the map, hooked up pressure sensor pluged in the o2's. turned the key. Instantly the car started and was idling at 14.7! Flawless idle perfect rev's (a/c working)

Did some minor tweaking to wot.. And car pulled great software was great to use, logger was freaking great!

One dissapointing thing is part throttle! Yes many are going to say it can mod this. It can "technically" But to do so you would trip check engine lights from over adjusting fuel at part throttle or fooling the car into open loop!

I do not want check engine lights.. And i dont like hacking persay the car to open loop..

I think im going to try this out http://www.flyinmiata.com/index.php?...umber=07-46300. Its basically a pretuned moddifer driven by boost that changes the o2 voltage to around 2.25-2.6 volts!

Im extreamly happy with how car is while cruising and wot. But i need to get perfect part throttle and no engine codes! If this can be done with ulitmate i may hold off for a while getting a standalone. It will allow me to purchase the ptuning wmi kit. And take a trip up to p-tuning to hit up there dyno!

Ill keep everyone updated! If anyone is a greddy guru and has a better way of doing this, "without pulling o2 sensors" or "maxing fuel maps"
Please pm ME!

Thanks!

Awesome update Mike. Hey why go all the way to PTuning just to use a dyno? Are they going to tune you?

No, ill have it tuned.. I just wanna go up there.. pick up some parts install them. hang out check out the shop.. and goto a dyno thats not jacked up like all of them around here!

To me, theres one way to figure something out. try try try! No better way then on my own car!

If greddy has a o2 map in its software it would be the end of all piggybacks!

What do you think about CFT though? They were the ones who did your first setup right? They're dyno isn't that good?

There dyno is great! Its user error! Theres so many local tuners that everyone trys to make them selves look better by adding correction. Pretty soon you got cars making 50whp more then they should!

But back on topic! Hit me up on Pm's if u want bro!

That O2 signal modifier is cool and the price is very nice. If you want more precise control, but at twice the price, there's the URD AFR calibrator.

Yeah, it does. It might even be made for URD by Split Second. I looked at a lot of tuning devices like these before deciding that the FIC offered the best overall bang for my buck. The biggest diff between the SS enrichment module and the URD AFR Cal. is that URD uses software to tune and SS uses dials and dip switches.

Elevation: I hope it works well for you. I haven't used one personally but I've read good things about it.

Are you not using the Pressure Sensor along with tuning off the Pressure Sensor (which tunes the car based on boost)?

What makes you ask that?

W/o pressure sensor it would be a little tuff to use p-tunings base map and pass absoulte pressure!

Probably because he can't utilize the extra rpms he'll need with his big turbo. Having only 2000rpms of full boost isn't so fun. They fly by so quickly.
