Default Need a code scanner

I need to get a obd 2 scanner that will give me more than just emissions codes, does any one have sugestions ?.

Scan gauge II --- hands down, the only thing you want if you're looking for a code reader with multiple other readings

I'm assuming when you say "more then just the codes" you mean you need what the codes mean as well? Well, the only ones I've seen do that are really expensive, but if you go to autozone, they have one and will read your code (along with description) for free.

Or you can get the scangauge II to read the code and then look it up on this list:

I just need the codes, I used to have a scangauge 2 but sold it (needed the money), I dont realy need anything with gauges just somthing to pull codes.

Just go to autozone. My local autozone has a scan reader that also gives the description on it.

well if you just want something cheap to read and clear codes they make cheap like ($20) ones but no telling how long they last. Ive seen them at sears and auto zone. just to name a few places
