some brands hold boost better than others. Its like using different bov's on a turbo.

The bpv relieves excess pressure in the charge pipe (between the turbine and the throttle body) when the throttle plate closes. Without a bpv/bov the incoming air can get forced back into the turbine causing the fins/blades to bend over time due to the excess pressure.

Th bpv/bov itself uses positive and negative pressure (boost and vacuum) to open and close the piston allowing pressure to build and escape.

so a bypass valve like the forge007...will it gain any hp or anything when you have the s/c, or will it just help the s/c run better with the engine?

if you plan on changing your s/c pulley to increase boost, then an upgraded bpv will help you gain more whp. the stock bpv can barely hold the stock 7psi as advertised. lets say you upgrade to NST 9.5lb pulley and you still have the stock bpv. you may still only see 7psi because the bpv cannot hold anything more then that. upgrading will let you hold more boost and in this case, more boost means more power.

I'm using the 007 with the NST 9.5lb pulley and it's working just fine.

you wont have to worry about that if you're s/c'd unless your pushing the limits of the s/c. if your gonna be running the NST 9.5lb pulley, you'll only see max boost at redline which by then you would have to shift. so really it's only under max boost for 1 second tops.

No my turboxs holds just fine. I believe the 110 will because its a brass piston design instead of a plastic diaphram.

Yea the 007 is a bit noisy. If your on the highway and you let off the gas you can here it. Im gona throw the 110 back in for a bit and see which one i really wana use.

Oh and Drummer, with that exact setup i hit 230whp. Although i would not ever suggest getting the MMW header. Install because of the s/c is a pita. Im glad to be rid of it. I might go with DME or Megan in the future (probably megan cuz its really inexpensive lol).
