Default Need help on how to install Guages and a little turbo help.

Yea, i have a greddy turbo kit. I have not yet installed it but i have an idea on how to do it. However i need help on the gauge installation and the e-manage ultimate installation. I need to know how to wire them both and where to connect the wires as well. I have 3 guages: oil pressure, air/fuel ratio and boost. And also is welding the oil pan neccessary? Please help me out. Thanks.

welding oil pan yes, and i took mine off w/ some help and it wasnt hard. about 20 bolts, a small sledgehammer, inforcer (big screwdriver) and some time will get the oil pan off. then make sure that u give the directions on how to weld the oil pan and then paint where its welded to avoid rust.
a/f needs to be a wideband, havent got that yet, narrowband will do nothing.
oil pressure if u need the adapter make sure u put that on b4 u put the oil in (im an ___)
and boost i ran under the cowl and around the dash (hose that is) to avoid drilling a hole in the firewall.

MOST IMPORTANTLY get the pnp harness from dezod or that other place. TRUST ME.
they were not sure if they would of gotten it to me in time for HIN, so my buddy followed the VERY POOR directions that greddy has to solder the wires. one, they dont have everything u need to do, i believe one of the colors doesnt exist and lastly since he tried about 4 diff ways, dont think that the directions r even right.
after the show got the pnp harness and it ran perfectly. maybe not worth the 300 or so, but they can charge what they want since it is pretty helpful and time consuming and unless u know a ton, ur not gonna get the soldering.
thats about all the help i can give, as im not the smartest in here, just going w/ my experience

ps - when removing the headers, start with the ones nearest the alternator, as depending on where one of the bolts stopped turning, will determine how easy it will come off, or if u need to get other supplies to get that off b4 u strip it.
and the heat shield for the alternator doesnt fit, my buddys did something w/ a bracket we found and a little brut force to make it fit.
what else...
put the heat wrap on the oil feed line b4 u install it, (again, im an ___) im assuming it will be much easier, i also cut the heat wrap in half (long way) to fit better.
and i was told to check the wastegate to make sure it functions properly.
theres a few threads on here that i found very helpful
mine was titled turbo questions, and theres a link to an even better one on there

try and take out the stock a/f sensor while its still on the car with the closed end of a wrench rather then a socket while its on a bench.

a wideband a/f needs to be welded into the downpipe.
boost pressure can be teed into a vacum line ff the thrttle body or the bov. oil pressure needs to be installed in between the head and the oil feed line to the turbo.
as far as guage wiring that depends on some things. Most people wire into headlight switch/dashlights or w/e so they come on only when your dashlights are on. I usualy just wire to the ignition switch so whenever the car is running my guage lights are on.

and ditto on getting the pnp harness
zpi and dezod have them

and everyone always sas "check your wastegate" when talking about a greddy kit. Do a search probly a reason why everyne says that.

Thanks guys for the help. But the e-manage ultimate i got came with the harness already included.

I have perfect knowledge on how to do the boltings and things like that the only problems i really have is with the wiring and electrical. can anyone post pics of the e-manage installation cause ive read the manual and honestly i have no clue how to do it still. Can someone explain it in an easier way?

Btw thanks ucyib2papi for the help.

the emanage installation w/ the pnp harness consists of this: unplug factory ecu, plug into harness, plug harnees into ecu and emanaga, burn the harness that came w/ the emanage, drive. :D

i kicked, stabbed, havent burn the harness that comes w/ the emanage. all the miles, gas, time, effort spent on soldering the emanage and all for not. i didnt want to listen either. my buddy knows all about the wiring and greddys directions just are not correct.

Yep - the Dezod PnP harness saved my butt. Emanage went bad, I spent a lot of time clipping and unclipping my ecu.

i put it in the s-pipe... seems to read accurately (at least compared to the dyno i was on) but i hear the best spot is on the downpipe
