Default Need help major white smoke

I have an 05 tv with 40k on it and a turbonetics kit, 2.5in all the way back. Ok so I've been having problems with smoke blowing out my exhaust for the past ooo say a month....its white......ahhh sometimes it looks blueish but i can never quite tell cuz im the one driving. Some people tell me its white others tell me its blue. When its just sitting turned on it looks white to me.t well im getting ____ed now cuz i can't figure it out. At first i thought it was just my af ratio, figured out that wasn't it, so then hooked it up to the obd2 through a p301 i think it was well anyways it was misfire in cylinder 1......don't know what that is about cuz it idles fine no weird noises nothing out of the ordinary...so i checked the plugs there fine. next i did compression test all were between 180 and 185. So no bhg and no bad piston rings.....one other thing i had an oil leak like 2 weeks ago so i filled her back up and haven't had any problems since, but i could never find where the oil came from, but it looked like it was coming from way up in the engine bay, because there was a little oil on the bottom half of the block which is below my turbo. So i don't quite know where to go from here i think i might have narrowed it down to the turbo seals may have failed, but im not 100 % so before i do all the work of taking the turbo off, im turning to you scionlife gear heads lookin for any advice i can get. thanks ahead of time

So i just got under the hood again and i had afriend rev it up to about 6k for me and i saw a little smoke coming out of the turbo...so i took the heat shield off to see it better. When its reved hard the smoke looks to be coming out between the trim and the downpipe.......turbo seals done??????

Probably. It like everyone else said is a turbonetics turbo. Get one from someone else and you will be fine.

You have a turbonetics turbo. Your turbo seal is blown. So extremely common with their turbo on our tC.

99% chance of a blown seal, get it fixed before you nuke your cats & o2 sensors. tC headgaskets are DARN HARD to blow and if compression was good then I would have to say it is the turbo for sure. Just my 2 cents.

ask for the water cooled turbo. The oil cooled only one sucks! The water one will last awhile.

the turbo wont cost more but they will charge you for the lines. They make a kit for their water cooled turbos.
