i dont have enough money for a turbo yet but i am forsure getting one within the next couple of months
I just got my CIA- i have a TRD exhaust and i dont know what upgrade i should do next to make my TC more powerful/perform better/ closer to getting turboed
i was thinking headers and chipping it but i would rather have some suggestions from some people who know scions.

I am basically looking for some upgrades that will make my car FAST!!!

MY TC upgrades now:
1. TRD exhaust
2. TRD lowering springs
3. TRD strut bar
4. Injen CIA
5. CF hood
6. Kaminari body kit

anywho, save whatever money you have for your turbo setup. Its pointless in buying something now, then trying to sell it because your getting a turbo within the next couple of months as you say?

 

My suggestion is to wait and save your cash. If a Turbo kit is your final objective for the car then save for that and a good set of tires. All those "little" purchases (ie headers, intakes, ect...) will detract from the ammount that you'll save... believe me they add up. and add up fast! all those other mods will not give you the kind results you are looking for as much as a kit will.
Plus most likly you will be changing all those modifications out when you get the kit installed anyways.

not one of those will make your car "FAST!" lol... do not get the trd exhause or CAI because both add minimal hp and will both have to be replaced when boosted... the body kit is just adding weight... Save for a turbo kit and get one from either Turbotoyota's or Dezod, both very good companies...

 

change your pulleys, go to NST's site and take a look at their crank pulleys and lalala. They make acceleration better and they're way lighter than stock. So there's some HP gain

 

your gonna toss yoru intake when you turbo...header too if you get that.

The only "power" option you can get now that you will keep when you turbo is a full 2.5 or 3' exhaust, which might actully hurt performance if you do it now.

Before my turbo i got megan midpipe and injen axle back so the exhaust was decently free flowing for the turbo, I didnt do anything under the hood because the turbo replaces your header and your intake, and if you get a good turbo it will either come with a computer or you will need one. I would reccomend just saving money for now and get the turbo sooner

Get some engine mounts. Upgrade clucth, LSD, P&P head with valves and Sring & retainers kit , fuel pump, sway bars. Just to name a few mods if you want to have something ahead. Anyway you're gonna need some of them after you get your kit. Good luck and welcome to FI.
