yeah, I really want that inline ECU that Dezod had a while ago, but apparently they are on infinite back-order.

 

I can get some, but pricing is not consistent.

 

i just want a stand alone myself. and this thing sounds amazing.

 

i just ordered the last of my parts from dezod to complete my kit, now i know what else ill be buying from them in the future lol

Will this be more than the Dezod/Phillips Racing inline unit? I'd still love to have one but I've got a project XC70 now and I couldn't before and still can't justify an $1800 piggy back unit. Hopefully they can get the price down to around $1200, if they did I would buy ASAP. Tuning for my Volvo will only be around $300 now that ARD is on the scene for ME7.

One thing that's different for me now is that I moved to a non-emissions testing state. So a stand alone like this new AEM unit would be a possibility.

I thought the same thing until I got one. Caveat emptor.

Although if I had a 4.0L Tacoma for which the X1 was designed, I'd still want one.

 

You're circumstances where far more unique in your setup that others which is why it didn't work the way you wanted it to. I have about 20+ other cars whom can testify to it's greatness.

So, does that mean that if we leave the stock ecu in for CAN functions and use this one for tuning, that we can use it in our cars in counties that require odb2 port connection during emissions?

 

No standalone will ever pass OBD2.
