paul_dezod 06-05-2007 03:10 AM

We will be doing turbo testing with this unit and extensive sharing of the results.

if u use a map sensor u should be able to have an atmospheric bov

jjos1 06-05-2007 04:27 PM

Does'nt it have one built in ?

that is correct, speed-density uses algorithm rather than MAF input signal. so you can use a external BOV without problems. here is another pro of MAP that people seem to overlook. if you blow off an intercooler pipe your car will run fine and you'll be able to get it home, just no boost. with maf forget about it..

Alright, I'm watching this for sure..

Price sounds great too, if this thing can do what they say it can do..I'm sold..

jjos1 06-07-2007 12:20 AM

So how is this unit working out ? any updates ?

paul_dezod 06-07-2007 12:47 AM

We are building a harness for it.

Isn't aem releasing a harness for it?

jjos1 06-07-2007 12:05 PM

I heard too

Mr_Meaty 06-07-2007 04:59 PM

I don't know if they were releaseing a harness or just the wirering diagram.

Nychold 06-07-2007 06:32 PM

This was a quote directly from AEM at some point on their forum:

The PnP harnesses will be developed for a very large number of modern platforms.

The ones slated for imminent release are:
350Z/G35 (all)
Scion tC (all)

Followed in a few weeks by:
Scion xA/xB
...
So they better be making a harness.

beach808boyz 06-10-2007 11:45 AM

any updates on the testing?

So, does anyone think buying this would be a bad idea since it's so new that not many tuners will be familiar with it?
I mean, every one says "get whatever mangement your tuner knows."
Or is the software and tuning on this nearly identical to the AEM EMS or Greddy?
