Do you have pre-intercooler dyno numbers?
What kind of numbers are you hoping to gain?

I'm glad you went with the larger intercooler radiator!

I do have dyno numbers from my previous tune but I think my shortblock was not quite put together right so once I get this done I am going to pull the engine and inspect the short block. Something isn't quite right on it.

I am hoping for 20-30 hp, I mostly just enjoy doing this kind of projects so if I ge that I will be happy.

My intake tubing is off being welded and have everything wired up. Funny mistake, when I first wired up my pump I tapped the radiator fan lines so instead of the pump coming on the radiator fans kicked on. Have it wired into my AEM water injection switch so I can turn then off and on together. Made a bracket to seperate my AC line about the water line.

I may do the little bit of engine work I wanted to do before going and getting retuned. Will see how long it takes to get my intake tubing back.

Small update, all the intake tubing is welded up so everything for the intercooler is done. I did yank the engine out for some head work so I am waiting on that now. I sent the header off to get coated as well while I am waiting on the head. Should be well into December before I can get tuned.

Update, turns out I was right that Toyota didn't put my engine back together correctly. They had installed my balance shafts out of the proper clocking so they were actually doing the opposite of their job. That is fixed now and did some head work at the same time. I also got my header coated during the down time but now everything is going back together. Goa is in 2 weeks to back at my tuner.

One piece of intake tubing is still be welded and once I have test run everything I will get everything powder coated.

Everything is together and checking for leaks which most have been sorted now. I need to make an appointment with my tuner now and will have him break in my engine and tune it since my intake is now 3.5 in instead of 2.5 so the ecu is a little ____ed on the AFR at idle but it does run.

Off to the tuner tomorrow. I do have to rework the pump mount once it gets back since it is touching the bumper.

this is mine, pretty much the same except the CAI lol...
changing the whole adapter hose and BPV soon cause the original now is causing me to lose boost...

It is the gold tape by DEI for radiant heat transfer.

Dropped my car off and my tuner said I might have an issue with the larger throat at the MAF. So there is a possibility I may have to rework my intake some if he can't get a tune to stick or I run into drivability issues. Guess that is part of doing a custom setup, hopefully I didn't miss anything else big.

oh ok, did you have to use a certain kind of stuff in order for it to stick? i got some heat wrap but havent put them on yet cause i need the steel ties to come in.

its probably because its bringing in a lil too much air that way, for mine what i did was install the weapon r supercharger CAI. i looks like a regular intake but weapon r said its a cold for s/c. try upgrading the MAF sensor, that might help but im not sure. just an idea that i had got from a drifter from my work... well lets cross our fingers and hope thats the only problem, hope everything works out for you!!!

oh yeah, just so you know, your rubber bpv adapter from the throttle body to the s/c, you should change that to a stainless steel adapter cause you're losing a few pounds of boost everytime you actually get on it. if you can squeeze that adapter from one end to the other, youre losing boost. that hose expands everytime than launches the boost, if you keep it, sooner or later that hose is gonna blow right off especially if youre running a certain amount of boost. Just a heads up, thats from what ive learned...
