I think it was already priced very close to that. Through TRD it will probably be over $1,000.

Dodge added another $1,500 on the srt-4 when they added the LSD to all the '04 model.
i think he meant it was going to be +$800 over the current retail price of $1200 i think it was.
Yeah, that's how I read it too. That it would be an additional $800 to the price tag because it's a dealer part. BUMMMMMMMER.

So - I am going to guess and say that nobody else is going to make another LSD in the near future?

They are gonna do the same they did to the first AEM intake for the 2005 tC. Buy the rights and sell it to us as their "research product" and +$100 of the original AEM price. They did, and are doing it all over again. AEM change their layout by some degree and got them again on the streets as another itake for the tC.

Lol I didnt really that much tq steer when I had my car before FI. It was pretty minimal. Now that im boosted tq steer even in 3rd gear can be pretty nuts.

I agree though I think TRD is just going to horde this thing and charge a buttload of money for one. Honestly I dont think I would have even spent the $1200 that it cost before+install. So now that toyota is going to jack the price up I doubt there is any chance I'd get one.

Whern the tC went out, there was an option intake on the dealer. It was an AEM, suddenly when the 06 came out, no more intake. Then TRD came out with one, and guess which company made them for them? AEM, and what designed was? Their old designed. Do the math.

I honestly dont care who makes it as long as the price isnt crazy and its a good product. I think the LSD for the tC is going to make driving night and day because there is no way ....NO WAY .... to keep the power down in first and second gear.

It depends because we might be able to get it from trdsparks or mcgeorgeparts .... the same way we were getting the other trd stuff at better prices. I have no problem giving trdsparks my money ... they shipped a first class supercharger to me w/o any issues. They only made a few hundred dollars on me (meaning their markup was very low).

I can't believe that quaife would even sell out like that. they have an amazing name for their products and a huge rep, I just don't know why they would sell it to trd to let them take the cred. trd must have paid them some serouse bank, wich means our price is going to be ridiculously high.

this ____es me off.

What would you want?

A reputation or a crapload of money?

It's business and Quaife did what they had to do to make a lot of money. Am I disappointed? Yes. But the situation is understandable.

money is money and its a material world.
but I just think that if quaife made it and sold it themselves they would make more money, especially with their rep. people would be more willing to pay quaifes price than trds price. this means that product amount will probably go down and quaife could be making more money keeping their design.

this is just an accusation, we'll see what actually happens. you never know maybe is trd is getting a hell of deal. I just know several people that quaife is the only people to them that make a LSD.

$1500 would be reasonable and if dealer installation was available. I just hope they don't release as a standard only item on the '08 model.
