They got rid of the "Nose" huh. Cause personally I loved the way the previous gen STI looked then the 2006 look.

Yeah for 08 they are getting rid of the 3-piece grill. I have an 06 so I have it...but I am over it. It doesn't bother me anymore.

FYI, RIPP does have a Turbo set in the works... from my understanding...

Do yourself a favor and call them.. :D

If you are planning to use a GT35R you might want to also look at the GT-K 550. I've seen some of the initial flow numbers and all I can say is GT3What? :D

That sounds like a Turbonetics fan. Have you seen a side by side dyno on a GT-K to a GT or no?

It just so happens the first head to head I'm aware of happened last week at Turbonetics. But since I'm sure the next thing I'll hear is that the data is biased I'll let the upcoming mag articles be the bearer of news. The flow and efficiency numbers on side by side wheel maps is staggering to say the least...

Oh I wasn't saying you were. In fact this forum has been pretty fair in regards to information sharing. I'm just saying I already know the response to side by side tests when the tester is also the maker of one of the units being tested. OK now THATs confusing :D Like I said I'll let the upcoming mag articles be the source of information as they are third party reviewers anyways..

Wow... see i purchased this turbo a few weeks back so this is new to me! If this turbo doesn't develop the power curve I'm looking for this seems like the great choice

Take a look at the insane price tag on the gtk as well. The difference between a $1200 turbo and a $2200 turbo is well... to much for me to justify efficiency increase of 30whp or so. But I am waiting on numbers I was also told the borg warner s200 outflows the gt3076r by a ton, then I heard them say they compared a .63 turbine 3076r and a .82 or so ar s200 *LOL* It's all in the little details. No wonder it made 30 or so whp more than a 3076r in the top end.

And you are looking at MSRP price tag. Most dealers don't sell for MSRP...

Yeah I know. MSRP is always lower, but the price point still puts them in the $1700 range + shipping street which is what online retailers are marking the lower hp units at when I can get a gt3076R or gt35XXr for around 1100-$1200 shipped. Will have to produce some pretty insane numbers responce and efficiency wise for me to justify that kind of a price jump. And who know, mabey they will But until I see those numbers back to back by a non turbonetics retailer then I will be happy with my garret unit
