o2 sensor crapped out, i need to buy a new one but everywhere is sold out. I need the one that was connected to my downpipe and all ive found were the air/fuel sensor ones. I dont know what to buy exactly, I ordered an o2 sensor from trdsparks and it was like 2 inches long. So someone help me, do i need an upstream or downstream sensor. Should I just go to toyota and see if i can order the replacement one?

 

If its the upstream, (on the exhaust manifold or the one visible from under the hood) than its considered am a/f sensor. If goin oem, the part # starts with 89467. Thats the most critical of the 2. The other one is just a monitor.

 

you can also try local junk yards man. they usually get rid of them cheap

 

I got mine from Rockauto.com, was an exact same Denso replacement and cheaper than a universal from a local auto parts store.

 

You're looking for the upstream sensor. Trdsparks should have it as well as the stealership.
