Default o2 sensor question

i have done a search and came up with mixed responses

before i had turbo i had dc headers which obviosuly deleted my 1st cat, now i have gone the way of boost!!!! my concern is before i had done the antifouler trick to not get a cel. now that i have turbo do i remover the antifouler? ive read in a nother forum that having the anti fouler will cause an innacurate reading by the UEGO. also i have emanage ult so shouldnt that take car of the cel code if i were to get one due to the missing cat???

it will only cause a bad reading with the aem if you use the antifouler on the aem sensor.....your aem should go directly into whatever pipe....your o2 sensor.....run it without an antifouler...if you get a cel....put the antifouler back in.

not hard.

what i ment was my car is running lean according to uego i want to drive it to the tuners, and ive read on another forum that with the antifouler it tricks the cars ecu and "makes" the car run lean!! so im wondering if taking the antifouler off will help stabilize afrs so i can go to tuner

and of course i wont be hitting boost regardless untill i get tuned but just for extra safety, cel is really not the concern here

You most likely have a exhaust leak somewhere prior to the sensor. Are you just intalling the turbo kit? Did you put a donust gasket on the downpipe?

For turbo setups, the upstream O2 factory sensor should not have an anti-fouler on it. It will go lean if you do. The secondary is the one that may need an anti-fouler.

yea just take off the antifouler and see if it runs richer...if so then drive it to the tuner.
