Joe, been following the thread, great job on the turbo for the scion community.

If you look at this engine bay it should be very familiar to tC owners, you need to flip some of the parts around as this is a right side drive. It is the Toyota Caldina GT4 in the UK, it has Celica heritage. The tC was based off some of the Caldina designs, I really like the fact this is a turbo with the center mounted intercooler. Hmm, that would be really nice and maybe Kaminari will make a new hood to take advantage of this.

can you guys imagine driving locally and you're driving at 2000 rpms and the car spools? don't you think your motor won't be able to take it as a daily??

at 8.7 psi, thats a little high for daily driving

Yes, I can imagine.

You can probably imagine it too as you sit, strapped into your harness, safely surrounded by your roll cage in your racing seats.

LOL...you really are an idiot...a turbo is only gonna spool when you make it spool and even if it starts to slightly spool your only gonna pull like 1 psi when still cruising so I dont know what the hell your talking about once again. No wonder why the guys over at illmatic want nothing to do with you

All I have to say is holy crap! The car sounds amazing!

Joe, have you had any idling problems with the VTA BOV? I currently own an EVO and my MAF hates anything that is not recirculated. EVOs are known to have really finicky MAF, so I was wondering if the Scion had any issues? Also, what do you think the ETA is on this kit? Thanks man and good luck!

Those are the factory fogs... I couldn't lose them after paying 500 bux for them at the dealer

Kenny @ ZPI moved my factory horn location down and mounted my fogs up were the horns used to be.

So you have had no problems with your stage 1? No ecu reseting yet or anything?

ALRITE joe this is my question,

In this kit you provide everything needed to support higher boost levels. Everything, the kit pretty much has all the components the ZPI stage 1 (2nd level) kit has, SO why dont you just turn the boost up a lil more???? Its not like it would change the price of anything, and would make the kit much more competitive. Seriously you have everything you need to safely boost it to like at the very least 10 why not?? It almost seems like your not puting any of the parts to their full potential which just seems like a waste.

The kit is shipped at 8.7 psi for daily driver reasons. All you need is a boost controller to turn up the boost. It really doesn't cost much to hook up and that's the only method I'd consider. With the wastegate being at 10+, you can NEVER go lower, unless you change the spring out. Shipping the kit at 8.7 and allowing you to turn it up or down (not lower than 8.7) will allow you expand when you want to.

The turbo will only barely spool when you're just cruising around. And it won't be at 2000rpms anyway. It'd most likely be somewhere around 2700 or 2800. Just don't go flooring it all over town and you'll be just fine.
