Default TRD V-5 BEARINGS

hey guys this is a great info thread for the trd blower, i recently rebuilt by trd blower with new seals and bearings, i got the ABEC7 speed rated to 65000, not the ceramic bearings...., the install when great no problems at all with the rebuild, expect when i turned the car on for the first time it was a little louder than normal, gear chatter, after talking with todd from superchargerrebuilds.com he said to check a few things so i did. there is no shaft play, i got oil going to the gears, the only thing i can think of is the direction of the bearings are backward!!!

yes i think i pressed in the bearings backwards, i wasnt told that the bearings were directional, i followed the AZGUY DYI and another DYI for seal replacement, they dont state to ensure bearing direction is important which it is important.

just letting everyone know to check bearing direction when doing the rebuild, the letter imprinted on the bearings go on the outside or away for the gears

Me. I was the one that tested the prototype. It's a little louder. Throttle response feels a little faster. Pulls from ~2k rpm like it used to pull for 3k rpm. I'll make a video eventually.

You need to program your stock ecu to your ignition computer. Search for the thread on how to do it, its called the paperclip trick. You need to short out some pins on your OBD2 port for 30min or so. I don't remember which pins off hand.

Jump pin 4 and 13 on the dlc. Ob2 conector. Do this with the car off. Turn the car to acc not to start and walk away for 35 mins. All the lights will flash in the begining. When you came back just a few lights will be on. Turn the car off. Pull the jumper wire out of the dlc. Start the car.It may die the first start up. So start it again. Let it run till the fans come on twice so it can do an idle relearn. If you have questions just call me 5128095877

?? a stock ECU isn't going to magically learn the tune for a s/c...
if that were true then nobody would ever need a tuner or stand alone engine management...

I was under the impression you ment swaping either ecu. No it wont learn the supercharger tune. If it did you would not have this big of a thread.

I was under the impression you ment for both ecu in and out. The ecu can not learn the supercharge tune. You have to get it flashed or a piggy back. If it was that easy this thread would not be this long.

I got it. I have two ecus one stock and one s/c. just trying to program key.

Btw my s/c is fully rebuild from pulleys to blower with ultimate kit.

When I first turn on the car where the shaft meets the blower it is kinda vibrating. I turned it off when i noticed it. is it only doing that because it is still pushing oil into the blower? (do i need to put oil in the blower first before i turn it on or do i just wait for it to fill up.)

When i googled bearings, I used measurements 17mm x 35mm x 10mm & P# 6003TBR12P4 that is for the smaller ones and 25mm x 52mm x 15mm & P# 6205JEM / C3 or whatever for the bigger ones. I barely got any help when I looked for mine so I'm glad to pass on any info so that someone does not get stuck with trial and error like I had to go through. Everyone simply passes you to the next website over when you have a question that is not being answered. An i'm not sure what you mean by O-ring ..if you mean the oil seal, I have P# Timken 222540 with the size 25-40-7mm .

thank you. How did u know what the speed rating was none of them say it. I Just seen a rebuilt kit on eBay some guy trying to sell them I was thinking of trying his.

And the blower end should be 2 small and 2 big and I think 2 oil seals and shaft/pulley side is 2 big ones

The smaller ones are the "faster" ones (for the blower that spins the fan inside) and the bigger ones are for inside the blower that spin with the shaft, I believe. Either way I'd replace them all since your inside. The pulley side, it is still the size of 25mm x 52mm x 15mm .

How did you know the speed ratings on. The bearings every site I see besides supercharged scions don't say speed ratings :-/
