Yeah, as long as they dont leak, actually have a FILTER of some sort, can be drained, and dont look like a shiny POS in there. Use some decent hoses too, people. Do you really need a bright blue clear hose in there for a catch can?

is a filter needed? 5W30 has a flashover point of 228 C. The valve chamber should be around the same temp as your engine coolant, around 83 C, so any oil going through the breather tube should still be liquid, though possibly in a mist. I would expect gravity to allow the oil to fall in the tank before the air goes out of the exit tube. The stock configuration on my xB has a straight hose running from the valve cover to the air intake with no filter in line. I was noticing some oil in the throttle body and ended up going with the Weapon R oil catch tank with my own mounting bracket fabricated. They do also make a tC specific version, about half the cost of the Greddy. they did come with the damned clear hoses, which I swapped with the solid grey that came with the intake.

I still like the idea of some sort of filter element to catch the "mist". Anything is better than nothing though!

 

Here is just an Idea of how I did mine.... It came with brackets so I just used one of them and used an existing bolt.... You could always use a self tapper and mount it any where you wanted or build your own bracket using some sheet metal a good pliers a drill and some creativity.

a little update....

mine came today. IT LOOKS GREAT! i love it, and ill have it installed soon.

 

you know now that you have it your gonna have to provide your captive audiance with some installed picks.....lol

update... ill be installing tomorrow hopefully.

Now, there is a small leak where you can see how much oil is in the tank. and around the inlet/outlet spots, use some clear silicone.
