Default only hitting 4-5 psi .......any suggestions?

only drove about 25-30 miles since i installed the s/c on my car.

today i installed a trd boost gauge in the car and i would like to know what the vacuum pressure is suppose to be. its right between 14-15 at idle. i was thinking i might have a boost leak because i pushed it today and it went up to only 4-5 psi !! wtf? now my real question is that does the stock bpv really leak that much boost?? i read a lot of threads that people say the stock bpv sucks and leaks A LOT of boost but really does it leak 2-3 boost??

the car doesnt lag or anything but also im thinking about ordering bosch 110 or forge 007 soon after i drive more.

do you guys have any input? if the vacuum pressure is supoose to be 14-15 then thats good i'll just have to push it more.

if i have a leak i dont know really where to check since i couldnt hear anything since the charger at idle is rattling a little and making bird noises (normal right?)

oh yeah im pretty noob when it comes to f/i. thanks in advance sorry!

ehh my stock bpv usually hovered around 4-6, then I got to 007. Then that was the end of that. To answer your question yes it doesn't hold boost as well as the others you have mentioned.

No your about rite. Where did you tap the line for the boost gauge at? From the line going to the BPV? If you did it that way retap the line off the VAC line near the throttle body you will get a better reading there.

Put it before where the other T fitting is at, closer to the throttle body side of the vaccum line rather on the other side of the t-fitting.

the T fitting is being secured by zip ties because the instructions are unclear, would there be a leak there?
