Default open vs closed loop

Hey guys, im posting this over yonder because i feel that you all have little more forced induction experience than the xa/xb crew. I know my car is an xA, but im hoping you all can help.

I remember a while back seing a thread on open loop and closed loop and how you could lock the computer by removing the primary 02 sensor and throwing a CEL.

well heres my issue...

Im running a greddy 14g w/ front mount, turbonetics raptor (recirculating) and boost controler, tC injectors, ngk plugs (one step colder), and the upgrade airnix intake.

The car runs pretty damn rich with no fuel management, but my problem is anything before 4k rpm feels like its holding back. Its not the fuel curve, because as i mentioned before the car is running rich as ____, i think it has more to do with the timing.

I tried pulling the primary 02 sensor, but i had NO LUCK!
The car did the exact same thing...begain building partial boost around 2500, maxed out at about 3400-3500, but didnt really pull until 4k (whihc im assuming is the transition between loops)

It doesent matter what egar I am in, and has no affect in drag racing, but if i want to go for a roll i really have to wind it up to start making the power and keep it there.

Any suggestions?

boost is daily at 7.5lbs and about 10-11 at the track.

Do you have an A/F gauge - wideband?
You really need to put this on a dyno and tune it.

your problem: no engine management or tuning.

your solution: get tuned.

things you're doing wrong: pulling the primary off, not running tuned.

its not timing. during closed loop, a/f needs to stay steady at 14.7. but your car is dumping too much fuel at that time and it will bog. once in boost, open loop fuel maps will kick in. how do you know you're running rich?

all in all, tune the sucker.
