^^^ Is there any other kit(s) with an FMIC that doesn't require any cutting of the bumper support other than GReddy?

Here's why...

My dealer told me that I can turbo my car and still have a warranty when you take that part out when something broke, but he told me that the shop should not notice that I had/have a turbo and appear totally stock and totally average...

He told me that the GReddy kit doesn't need any cutting, although he said that I need an extra fuel rail and oil pan to be welded and grinded, also he said that I couldn't cut any wires at the ECU so a Dezod harness is an answer...

 

a lot of work to swap back and fourth.

Also, how many miles are on your tC?

I'm just going to take it off it something went wrong...

 

They'll see the slight grinds on it to accomodate the 440-550cc injectors.

So he told me to get backups of the parts that I'll grind or weld.

 

dezod keeps the stock crash bar

 

dont get turbonetics then... u may not have to cut the car.. but it sure makes you want to cut your wrists.

Dezod and T-netics you dont cut anything accept the oil pan to tap the oil return.

 

dude, if you are so worried about your warranty, then just wait until your tc is beyond the warranty.

YOUR NOT GOING TO FOOL ANYBODY INTO THINKING YOUR TC WAS NEVER BOOSTED IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE AND TRY TO SWAP IT BACK TO STOCK!.

you'll have a tap in your oil pan, a stage4 clutch, gauges, wires for the gauges, gauge pods big injectors, and alot of kits require some bumper shaving, not just crash bar removal.

then by the time you swap the engine back to stock, take it to the dealership to make a claim on warranty, get the work done, and then put the turbo back on, how much time and money have you saved instead of just taking it in to fix whatever is broken?

if you dont mind not driving under boost.

 

he already has a stage 4 clutch installed.

 

Yeah, I bought it for no reason, now I'm hating it! I don't even think that puck style disc would ever wear out when I'm running 160 flywheel HP... (Although my friend installed it for me free of charge!)

I want a turbo so I can make use of it. LOL!

Anyway, my only choices are GReddy with the RS BOV or a Dezod kit that has a chrome manifold. I'm stuck with those 2 unless HKS suddenly makes a tC turbo kit.

 

Oh, if someone here has a picture of a Dezod kit with alot of miles on it, please post!

I wanna see how the cast iron flange and wastegate look.

Also, Is there such thing as a polished or chrome Dezod manifold? (If someone has a pic, I wanna see it too!)

 

dude, you dealer does not know what he's talking about if he mentioned grinding the fuel rail. No way no ones going to notice.
first off, you can just get another crash bar, but the TT does not cut it either.
But there is alot going into going back to stock, especially interior gaguge wise. Plus, that's just dishonest.

 

I suggest that if you really want turbo you forget the warranty part, 1st if you messed up your engine with your turbo its just rightful that warranty shouldnt cover it, 2nd If take off your turbo for warranty, it will cost you a lot of time and money prolly worth more than the repair the warranty will cover 3rd If your take off the turbo bring it to the dealer and go home ____ed coz they found out you had a turbo and will not cover it..

 

That's why he said I need an extra fuel rail and oil pan from a junk yard or have my friend buy it from Toyota...

Yeah, I don't need to use the warranty for repairs. (unless I'm strapped badly for cash) I can just repair it like my Corollas.

I really want to see a chrome or polished turbo manifold pic here on SL. So if someone here has a pic, please post!

 

btw they rnt chrome... they are coated sterling silver by jet hot coatings. It should maintain its shine seeing how it is a coat and isnt like the stainless steel down pipes that turn gold over time... dont quote me on that though.

 

I hate to say it dude, but people like you forpinks are the reason there's now a tamper proof bolt instead of a cap on the s/c. ...its also the reason the dealers hassle each and every one of us when ever we need legit warranty work done.

 

1. You need to actually search on warranties and the laws around them

2. If your turbo breaks something and you pull it off to have it fixed under warranty, you are an @$$hat. Man up and accept responsibility and fix it yourself if your mods break it. And if you cant fix it yourself, you really shouldnt being going turbo. In that case you should just buy a car that is boosted stock.

3. To re-iterate #1, use the search feature.

 

Where is this extra fuel rail coming from? My buddy has 550cc PLUNG AND PLAY injectors on his stock fuel rail. There was no grinding or anything for it to fit. Dude is feeding you garbage info. Read **** READ!
