If that's the case, does anybody know which wire is which that stems from the sensor?

a aftermarket gauge will not read the sensor it is a wide band but its the lamda or how ever you spell it. Nothing I know can read the sensor from the ecu either I have tried. You will have to get a wideband and gauge and put it in it.
