People with turbos, Your thoughts?
Hey guys, I have had my Turbonetics Stage 1 for about 2.5 months now. I have the TRD Exhaust.
I am interested in a new exhaust and wanted to get peoples opinions and/or experiences with different exhausts with this specific turbo system.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

haha you will be happy with anything other than the TRD exhaust...
honestly... any 2.5" cat back exhaust will do you good. If you have a good shop that could fabricate you a 3" one that would be ideal... but like the ZPI, Dezod, or Creative Compacts exhaust systems would work great too.

3 inch is just too big unless your making huge power. The large diameter of the pipe causes exhaust gasses to expand in the pipe, cool, and slow down causing a "wall" of slow moving gasses causing backpressure.

Too small of diameter creates air reversion at certain gas speeds, while slower gas speeds create a wall like redwar answered. It is a tricky balance.

hehe i stand corrected... a few times...
question... would it be bad to run a 3" if you plan on bumping up the power? Like I know I am building the block and eventually turning up the boost... but if i stay around 350ish should i be straight with what I got (2.5" all the way back) or should i bump it up to 3" for a little more power.
I already am falling victim to boost spike from the lack of back pressure..
