please help, boost gauge
i just hooked up my boost gauge, its an autometer phantom 30in. hg. to 15psi, first off im running the trd s/c, and when at idle my gauge is registering 20in. hg. the most i hit was like 5 psi at like 5000 rpm, and im running the nst 9.5lb. pulley, is this normal or whats up? i thought at idle it should read almost 0, please help. all info is appreciated.

wen i installed my boost gauge i wasnt reading anything i rechecked everything and the vaccum hose had a kink in it which was causing the gauge to be wack!!...maybe that could be something to check into

Also did you zip tie the end of the hoses that connect to the t-fittings to make sure you are not leaking boost from the hoses? Just make sure you don't zip tie them too tight to crush the t-fittings.

I would suggest changing out the bpv. That is more than likely your issue. The stock bpv is known for leaking boost. When brand new they only allow 5psi of boost. Even though you added the new pulley it's still only going to allow 5psi. It will bleed out the other 4.5. Keep in mind you will only see the 9.5 at redline. Most of the time all you will see is 5psi when driving.

did u check the line to ur boost guage maybe its not on all the way, idk it would have 2 be a leak in the line you ran through ur firewall from the vaccum line or the PBV so but that would be a bit of a pain 2 check the line, i ran mine like right above the shifter u can see a vid of mine at my cardomain in my sig
