ponderable question for the boost saavy...
... ok well some of you know of my dilemma with the intercooler on my supercharger and the loss of boost pressure, but i was thinking it over and maybe someone can step forward and help me out with this scenario.
I realize that with the length of piping and size of intercooler some boost loss will be present initially. However I was thinking the system is a closed loop system so why woulh there not be all 9psi after the system has had a chance to filk up. could it be possible my bpv is leaking or possible there is a boost leak in the system somewhere? Just because the piping is longer it would take longer to fill up but once its full why wouldnt it stay full? Im sorry if my explanation is not making sense but now im a little concerned I might have a boost leak somewhere...
If anyone has any input I would really appreciate it. I am running a bosch 110 should i consider upgrading again I am also currently running the ZPI 9lb pulley

I think the prob is the volume of air you are trying to compress, not the fact that you are trying to compress it. You are in a system that is made to lose pressure to the motor. With a stock system you a trying to compress 2' of air in the pipe. the pully is designed at it's max based on that 2' of air to only make 9 psi as your engine is running. Now with your system with the intercooler and all you are running what 7' of pipe and cooler!?! (ahahaha) so now that 9lb pulley is trying to compress "7" feet worth of air while the engine is running. Due to the more volume you are trying to compress, the less pressure you will be able to create. Not sure but doesn't the intercooler make a little restriction too? not sure.
cool thanks for the info, thats all what i thought just a guy I work with and I were debating the subject at lunch today.
HM: I have a 14lb pulley on the way, hehe but thanks though

I cant wait to see this. This should be an awesome setup.
What other upgrades are you going to be running with the 14lb pulley? I would suggest a bigger oil line for the SC just to be on the safer side of things. Personally I can't wait to see what the out come is.
