Default positive s/c feedback

so lets hear from the people who have had good results from the s/c jus to bring up the spirits of those who own a s/c and those who are thinking about getting a s/c. As we all know when you get bad service from someone you tell 50 people, but when you get good service you only tell 5. Please no s/c cracks or bashing we've already seen your post on all the other topics so we can do without it here especially sense have of the people bashing the sc aren't f/I to begin with. So lets hear some good news

we got ours when it came out, have had Zero issues, maybe 25k miles on the sc itself. While we'd like more power, etc... we knew what it offered when we bought it so can't really complain there. And if we have to wait one more year until warranty isn't a concern anymore before adding a pulley/whatever to bump up the fun factor a bit, no biggie. We are enjoying it as is right now.

well I have to say I did enjoy my supercharger up until I had my problems, with may or may not have been caused by my supercharger. I was supercharged for 28k miles, got my supercharger 10/1/06

supercharge for about 3ooo mile + luving it. I got dc header, 9.5 nst pulley, agency power crank, pulley, down pipe, greedy evo 2 exhaust. I love the charger it has consistent smooth powr, 240 whp is awesome if i want more power i go always upgrade a few more parts.

I've had some problems with mine, but am still happy I got it. It makes the car a lot more fun to drive, and I keep my warranty. My first s/c was on the car for 14,000 miles then the bearings went out. The dealer and TRD honored the warranty and replaced the s/c. I talked to the Scion manager at my dealer yesterday and he said Toyota has instituted several new, tighter manufacturing processes for the s/cs, and that should help. Hopefully he was right.

As I said, still happy with mine.

I just wish TRD saw the "need" out there from customers who want more out of their car, where they offered mods that they felt would still work on this unit. Yeah, that may mean a couple bucks more for a TRD cai, pulley, etc.. but it would give us with warranty concerns another avenue for more performance.

Supercharged since 10/05. After 20k miles, the only problem I've had is a broken mount.

I WAS going to S/C, then I calculated my cost and plans, and S/C wasn't going to cut it. Cuz at the most, I was only gonna get about 300+-20whp, and I wanted to go as high as 400whp.

After talking it out with my father (mechanic) and figuring some stuff out, I think to myself, maybe I shouldn't have bought that turbo kit... Only cuz in the future, I'm gonna spend a lot of money to upgrade the turbo and later on, switch out the longblock. But for NOW, and that's probably gonna be for a while, I'm just gonna be at 300whp with my turbo kit...

On another note, S/C isn't a bad idea, you would only have to spend about $7000 or more to get it to 300whp, that's IF you bought it from Toyota Territory ($2300) and the stuff needed to upgrade the power.

didn't you have a post a while ago about stalling out on the way to work or something with your supercharger? i thought i saw that a while ago? but i suppose it could of been something other than the supercharger.

So far so good with mine. Pulled 14's all night long at PIR (____ty track) on street tires (and stock suspension) with horrible 60 ft's (2.3-2.4 range all night) trapping in the 95mph range.

Quick question for all you happy S/C owners...

I'm currently saving for one, and I've found that there are "deals" on eBay for the official TRD S/C (for anywhere from $2100 up). So my question is - did you get yours at the dealer or did you get yours at a discount from somewhere else? And if so, do you know if where you acquire the S/C affects your warranty coverage?

It needs to be installed by a dealer to retain warranty IIRC. Don't know if it matters where you buy it or not.
