Default problem...

alright so i had my emanage out of the car yesterday. i hooked everything back up put hte emanage back and went for a ride. i hit boost but when i did i saw it was REALLY lean(under WOT i ussually read 11.4afr) i hit full boost and it was 14!!! i immediately stopped and checked everything and sure enough the presure sensor that plugs into the emanage wasnt in all the way. when i came home after hat i let my car sit for awhile and it was idling off the chart leanand i could hear a high pitched noise from the engine when i popped the hood(i dont recall ever hearing this before)now i dont know whats making my car idle like this, any help would be appreciated.

take a look at your spark plugs, they will tell you a lot of whats going on.

EDIT: take a look at this link http://www.ngk.com/sparkplug411.asp

down near the bottom where it says
"Plug Problems
# Fouling

# Bridging

# Pre-ignition

# Flashover

# Quenching"

Click on each and compare the picture of the plugs to what yours look like.

it was probably running way rich and fouled your plugs, hence the funny idle...

even though the idle problem started to become really bad once i hit full boost with the pressure sensor not in and it ran really lean? before that happened my idle was around 15.3-16.0 still kinda high but now its off the wideban its so lean. you think i should get new plugs and see if that fixes it?

The idle has nothing to do with the emanage so dont worry about that.

Could be plugs. Since they are cheap swap them and see if it changes anything. Also check for a leaking injector.

were you getting any Cel's?

Could be a bad coil pack.

I doubt its a bad coil pack but see if anyone of your friends can swap coil packs out with you to see if its a problem. What year is your car? If its an 07 I can help you out here at the dealership with a leftover car we have just to test it out to see if thats the issue(actually they should be the same from 05-08 but who knows). Also, you should be running lean at idle...it should be stoich @ 14.7-15.xx a/f ratio...unless its something crazy off the charts thats not a problem if its in that range
