I'm haveing problems with my belt rattle after installing nst 9.5 s/c pulley .I replaced belt with the recommended part number from nst web .Has any one experienced this problem. I already replaced belt tentioner, still rattles at start up .

 

Never heard of a belt rattle, most likley you are hearing a rattle on cold startup from the end bearing assembly. It would be slightly louder running more on the bearings at startup. It is nothing to worry about. Vortech designed the end unit for thermal expansion and once things heat up a tad the rattle sound goes away correct..?

 

Is the new S/C pulley aligned with the rest of the pulleys?

 

check the tensioner. I had a rattle turns out that the stud holding the bottom part of the tensioner shock was broken.

 

YES S/C PULLEY ALIGNED, CENTER, I ALREADY REPLACED TENTIONER ONCE ,IT REPAIRED RATTLE PROBLEM BUT WITHIN ONE MONTH IT STARTED DOING THE SAME THING . I'M THINKING BELT MIT BE TO LOOSE (LONG)

 

did u ever get that belt rattleing to go away? I'm replacing my sc pulley and I was looking for some info on removing it and removing the belt. Can someone please help me with it I don't have 75 dollars to have someone install it for me. thanks for your help.
