Problem code P2118

I am throwing a P2118 code. Just wanted to confirm that my throttle body as gone kaput on me. I looked the good up in a generic code book and it comes back as:
Throttle Actuator Control motor current range/performance
Does that mean the TB is jacked or is there something else associated with the Throttle I should be looking at. I have a spare TB and just wanted to be sure that's it before wasting time changing it.

try resetting it and see if it comes back on. if youve opened the butterfly without the pedal(i.e. a screwdriver)it will sometimes throw that code. i had cleaned my TB and that code up, i just reset it. havent seen it since.
if it keeps coming back its your TB. most likely the sensor cause if it was the actual butterfly or the gears in the TB it would say it is Throttle actuator stuck open or closed. unplug the sensor and see what the reading is. i think it should be like .4 and up. i forgot what it should be at check the shop manual if you have one if not i will look it up when i get home for you.

Check with a volt meter you mean? I think we have one laying around the garage.
i checked the shop manual and it says this what P2118 means (Open in ETCS power source (+BM) circuit (1 trip detection logic))
and this is the trouble area (Open in ETCS power source circuit, ETCS fuse, ECM)

Can you translate that into English now?
the etcs fuse is in the engine bay its a 10A fuse. ok found the reading it should be at 0.3 to 100 Ω at 20°C (68°F). you check the 1st 2 pins from the coolant lines side. if that makes any sense.

Could have SWORN I checked all those fuses. Guess I'll have to look again.

Replace fuse as neccessary, clear the code, and see if that code comes back. If it does, then your ECU or related circuits may need further diagnosis. But, it's pretty simple checking that fuse first to save you money on additional diagnostic fees.

So, if fuse is still good, then TB bad. Will check tomorrow. Hopefully there will be enough of a break in this freaking TN Monsoon we got going on right now.

Took another look see and found the ETCS fuse. Turns out it was blown afterall. I had to actually look at the one side as one side looked good, but the other side was broken. Fuses are so tiny so my first time looking at it, I over looked it.

Fail. Use a DMM next time instead of just looking at the fuse.
