Well my CC stage 4 went out when the rotational springs on the pressure plate rolled the metal back and the springs started falling out. The friction surface was still good.

Interesting...can you describe what you were experiencing before the tear down to find the problem? Like what noises where you hearing, what happen when you tried engaging the gears...etc.

I have a spare brand new TRD clutch sitting collecting dust (been trying to sell it). Looks like I might throw it in for the mean time.

I always had the de-celeration noise like a bad throw out bearing since the day I put it in but no new noises after that and seemed to shift fine until I blew up third gear. The only reason I noticed it was bad is cause when I blew up third gear and the transmission shop pulled the tranny they noticed it. I still have the clutch if you are interested in a picture let me know.

THANK YOU!! I found this post 15 years later my crankshaft position sensor went out and I had a throttlebody code so we deep cleaned my throttlebody and mount just for it to still be in limp mode and I happen to come across this post and seen this comment and this fuse and turns out it was blown replaced it right then turned around and she works!! i cannot thank you enough
