MrC, how do we go about trying to figure out what shipping will be? And is it possible to have you guys assemble the motor, and basically have a 'drop in' built motor as a option?

So even with the spec-ss short block build it won't be drop in and ready to go? Additional work would need to be done if I am understanding the description correctly.
Can someone elaborate on what else would need to be done to have it assembled completely and ready to go?

We went with CP piston because they were highly recommended by the majority of the engine builder and engine component manufacturers that we worked with. The customer service and support is what kept us on board with using CP piston--especially when it comes to makig a one-off custom piston. That's not to say that we won't use another piston manufacturer in the future. So it all comes down to not only quality but customer support that separates one manufacturer from another. Go with what you and your machinist have good working relationship with.

Guys, trust me on this after driving the stock motor, and then their built motor you'll never go back to the stock one. PTunings motors pull very hard and LOVE boost, we run 24psi and have had no problems! These built motors will completely change the feel of your car, and turn it into an absolute animal!

To have a drop-in motor, you basically need us to build you a complete long block (complete long block means that it includes the cylinder head on the short block, plus the timing chain, camshaft, valve train, all gaskets etc. We have no problem building long blocks, but if we do offer a long block, it will be a fully built long block, with a competition cylinder head, upgraded valve train, port work and high lift camshafts--it can get expensive, even with the lesser expensive spec-ss short block. As a complete long block, all you would need to do is swap all of engine sensors from your old motor to the new motor, drop the new motor in and hook up all the sensor harness plugs. We could even install all the sensors, engine harness, and intake manifold for you for an additional fee, if you absolutely want a "drop-in" motor.

A complete long block that is drop in and turn key sounds pretty good. I think it would minimize build error on the user end significantly. Do you know approximately how much that would run with the Spec-SS short block without installation of the stock sensors? I think this would be a very nice option to have for myself and some other here in the community.
