Toan, nice work fellas! I just wanted to ask a few questions.

1) Is this the Haltech Platinum Edition? Looks like it.
2) Will this control DBW? If this is a Sport edition, it does not then.
3) This looks like a parallel piggyback like our AEM. This controls fuel and ignition like our AEM and stock ECU does DBW....Correct?

They were able to find a way to the oem computer control idle and ac, and rev to unlimited rpms!

Not true grasshoppa. A/C yes. Idle no. Revs maybe.

The platinum sport does not control DBW. The PRO does, which is not released yet for many apps at all except GTR and a few others. (I would know as we have been a Haltech dealer since 2007).

I do not want to jump to conclusions nor take anything away from PTuning's development. This unit if it's even the Platinum Sport is an awesome unit.

I will let Toan and MrC chime in.

I am 99% positive this unit does NOT control DBW and the stock ECU does.

what is the advantage of having a complete DBW control anyways? just idle and less DBW delay? doesnt it just make the calibration more intense?

Full control regardless of injector size. Idle could be skewed to have a smooth an idle as possible even if you had 1600cc injectors *(in theory)

Complete customizable throttle profile. So say you want a crazy throttle response feel on the car, you can ramp the throttle at 20% to feel like the pedal is 50%. Or make it 100% linear.

The possibilities are endless with a customizable throttle profile.

I doubt you could ever do away with DBW delay, but if you could it would like cable at point. WOW! (just imagining it now)

To answer everyone's question on the DBW issue.....The factory ECU is in charge of controlling the factory DBW throttlebody.

What makes the Haltech ECU set-up unique is that factory ECU will idle up the rpms when cold, idle up with A/C request (all A/C functions are controlled by the factory ECU, no freezing compressors, no re-wiring, etc.)

It will also idle up with power steering inputs, idle up with full electrical load (i.e. headlights on, a/c on full blast, windows rolling up and down, sunroof opening, etc). Basically. the engine will not stall out under load, since the factory ECU will anticipate everything and open up the throttle plate to compensate for any drop in engine idle speed.

With this said, we have not found the need to add an external idle control motor since the factory ECU will compensate for the extra loads detected.

This unit has been tested on both a street turbocharged 05-06 tC, and 07-09 tC, and of course, on the PTUNING TA tC.

from the description posted this seems very similar to the hydra.. very interesting and nice that scions now have better aftermarket support when it comes to serious performance parts like standalones.. and oh screenshots?

wow very impressive !

and the AC will work right ?
i wonder what the price is going to be and when it becomes available ! I'm thinking maybe of getting this over the AEM EMS since AEM has an AC problem with 07 and up.

now as far as the tuning, do you guys only tune it or other tuners would have the knowledge with this software/brand ?

Rus, I know the shop I got my fenders rolled at can tune Haltech system's so I am sure there are plenty of tuners out there that can!

Yeah I hear the Hydra is a nice street car/daily driver standalone compared to the AEM for OEM style drivability. I'm not terribly familiar with it though.

i know mike i actually changed mine and loved it better.. but this color coding thing on the fuel map has something to do with what afrs on that table.. it could help detect some lean spots easily without having to datalog, im just making an assumption when i was making some reading on some standalones and i think that was a haltech that does that, not completely sure though
