Default ptuning intercooler question

I have the greddy kit for my 07 tc; but the intercooler got damaged from the previous owner. Will the ptuning intercooler be a direct swap? they both have 2.5 in/outlet. Just wasn't sure about the piping matching up.

any info will help.
thanks!

I'm pritty sure its a direct fit as long as the in/out are the same size as ur piping than u shouldn't have any problems, I'm running ptuning turbo kit on my 09 TC.

Also forgot to mention for a direct fit make sure the measurments of ur greddy intercooler is the same for the ptuning intercooler. And if the ptuning intercooler is wider than ur gonna have to trim ur piping to make it fit.

okay thanks; also when you installed your ptuning intercooler; did you have to make a bracket for the top support to attach it to the hood latch?

I would measure both of the intercoolers. If they are the same in width you should be okay. If there is a difference in thickness and height it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Our FMIC kit was designed specifically for the PTUNING Spec-SS turbo kit.
Therefore, even if the intercooler size is the same as the GREddy, most likely the two end IC pipes will not line up without modifications.

Our intercooler does come with 2.5" outlet.

The PTUNING FMIC kit does come with 3 pre-welded brackets.
Two on the bottom and one on top (for the latch).
Therefore, if you already have the PTUNING Spec-SS turbo kit, this FMIC kit is a directly bolt-on.

However, if you are using the FMIC kit with a different turbo kit, you will need to make the bracket for the latch.

Hope this help.
