I know this thread is old but I was wondering, with the new Dezod S2 kit out know, how does that compare to Ptuning's kit? Price and all? Inputs from anyone?

It would be recommended that you look at the components and layouts of each system. They are fundamentally different from one another.

I have broken it down and I noticed that the dezod kit has a stand-alone ECU with their s2 system and the ptuning system does not. So I'm still trying to see why the P tuning kit is almost as expensive as the dezod kit. I was wondering if anybody on Scion life has the s2 and how it compares to the P tuning performance wise. Dezod is going to give me a military discount which will actually make the price lower than p tunings turbo kit. I love how P tunings kit looks but cant justify looks over bang for your buck with the standalone.

I bought the Ptuning kit because I have yet to hear any strongly negative things about it. Plus the components of the kit are solid.

You can get any management you want with either of them. And I'm positive PTuning gives military discount. If you went as far as calling Dezod why haven't you done the same with PTuning.

The kit is not about looks. It's methodically designed liked that. Looking good is simply a by-product. I run a PTuning Spec RS setup on my tC. You need to contact them and ask the same questions and you will understand why they are different.

EL manifold vs log manifold (Dezod)
3 inch downpipe to connect via V-band to their full V-band 3 inch exhaust (can't remember if Dezod has a 3 inch downpipe in that setup now, possibly, but not V-banded)
Low mount turbo to lower the center of gravity (great for motorsports)
PTuning setup is also designed with a water/meth injection setup built into it, should you want to run one.

Just to name a few differences.

I have called them and they will only give me 200 off since its already a discounted item. Both companies have great customer service but ptuning didnt give me an answer on why their pnp fic is as much as dezods ecu standalone. Thats why im here asking.

I imagine the cost to produce a log manifold is not the same as an EL manifold like theirs. The cost are else where in the kit. The hose clamps have PTuning etched into them, the manifold has the flange lowered around the bolt holes to give more surface area, which eliminates the need to buy manifold studs. The manifold to waste gate connection is V-banded. I'm sure the machining differences contribute to price. You need to look at the components also rather than just ECU option only.

Also check around to other sites and research the characteristics a log manifold has to that of an EL manifold.
