pulley removal problem
so my s/c is off my car and im having a darn hard time getting the pulley off it - it would have been easier taking it off with the belt on...but now that its off .... im having a darn hard time. I am thinking about bringing it to a shop and have them remove it for me.
.... I went to a few places to get clamps to hold the pulley but nobody had anything that would work.

that's weird. a good impact should take it off while holding it with one (gloved) hand. mine can.
try this to...with the impact give it a shot in the forward (locking) position, real quick, then flip back to reverse. I had to do that on the crank pulley...kind of like rocking the car back and forth out of a snow/ice patch. It worked to crack that nut loose the third time.
Ok - great news - I took my old belt - wound it around the pulleys - put tension on it ....and it was very easy to grip the pulley. Took the impact gun ...came off A LOT easier then I would ever have thought.
