Default Question on the Scion tC Supercharger Kit..

I know the Supercharger kit comes with a CAI, but do you really need that one, or can I leave my K&N CAI with the Supercharger?

The Supercharger comes with a modified airbox, not a cold air intake. Unless you're willing to cut your K&N into pieces to make it fit, it's going to have to go bye bye.

It acts as a CAI, drawing air via the rubber fitting directly from the fender. You can...

Hack your k&n up and custom make an intake

Or just roll stock and be happy with your warranty

Cut it up to fit In hacking and rigging somthing, there is no manual or instructions, just a hammer, saw and a prayer.

Yes, but your dealer will prob not honor the warranty as they suck and will blame a jack ball antenna install for causing your left headlight to go out. In short, most service departments are tards. Some are pros, most are tards

some dealers care, some don't.... most won't ask if the headers are already on there... and if you're gonna get them.. put them on before the s/c.

it'll save alot of pain and effort.. cause yeah... putting them on afterwards can be a real PITA..

as far as your k&n.... i'd honestly try to sell it.. but if you seriously want to still use it, you need to take a hacksaw to it and rig it back in.

You can also get lightweight pulleys to help free up some of that HP you're losing between the crank and wheels. You can also upgrade the BPV and there is also the option of upgrading the actual supercharger components. But again... the warrenty will be void.

just go with the larger intake that comes with the s/c and drop in a K&N filter. i matched the size for the filter at a autozone and it's been working great. part # 33-2207

4-2-1 headers for mis and low end gains. 4-1 for the higher rpm.

all headers work the same in a sense... most are 4-1... but MMW (Weapon R) is 4-2-1. This is the most expensive header, and the others range about the same. Look in the sponsored sales and contact some of the sellers for the average price...

you will see more gains than anything... the CAI is something that you need to custom fit to work on the S/C though...
