ok... i did something very stupid... a few times... before realizing it was happening.... i sprayed my nitrous wet kit with the bottle closed... a few times.... so, i shot nothing but fuel into my engine over n over .... like a dumbass...

anyways... i go to turn my car on (before realizing what i had did) and it wouldnt start unless i keep pressing in the pedal, i assume so that air gets into their to help ignite it...

i then changed the plugs, since they were obviously black as night... and put new ones in ... i then drove around a bit, only to keep experiencing the same problem, so looked at the new plugs i put in, and they were fouled black... just from all the fuel presumably still in the engine... i then put the original fouled ones back in and have drove the last day or 2 with them to clear out the engine. It drives, but its terrible and still needs help when starting the car, and sometimes it gets stuck at a certain mph and wont accelerate for a few seconds...

i was wondering if just changing my spark plugs out to new ones now that the system should be flushed will do the trick, or if it sounds like i screwed anything else up....

plz let me know...

 

i say clean the throttle body. since your saying its getting stuck at the same rpm. meaning your plate is stay open for a bit. any CEL?

 

ya but it only gets stuck sometimes... like rarely... i guess if when i put the new plugs in if it still does that ill have to check the throttle body out, thanks for that tip..

and ya there's a cel... but i added a header the same day... so i believe that is why...

i can get those defoulers at autozone for that correct?

 

Change your plugs, idle the engine, drive the car in first gear at about 5500 rpm for about 30 seconds, light load, that will clean out whatever fuel and ____ you have in your engine.

Or just run nitrous alone

check your plugs one would be of the header and there could be more! so check that out also. that CEL can tell you whats wrong!

 

ok.. i think the CEL is from the header cuz of no cat... is it autozone that also checks the CEL readings for free?

i have no clue, didnt even know autozone sold it, but jus throw an offer out there i dont wanna make it really expensive i jus wanna get rid of it. i liked this one i never had a CEL with the header

 

it was like 40 bucks from weapon r so. i dunno how much they are at autozone. but i think you have to modify the ones from autozone not sure.

is it the one that goes on the 2nd o2 sensor? $10 bucks? i dont know u said 4 years old... let me know if its the 2nd 02 sensor and is specifically for the header CEL and give me a day or so to get back on you once u accept my price or counter

 

no u understood me wrong lol i have the same exact one im selling on my car meaning i have 2. (one on the car and one in my room) the one i have on my car ive had for 4 yrs with 0 problems which is the same one im selling. its a really good antifouler never gave me a CEL. and all antifoulers's go on ur 2nd 02 sensor (the one on the s-pipe)

sounds good bro, no matter what ur gonna have a CEL from the header. it eliminates the cat in the stock exhaust manifold so ur gonna run a CEL regardless. hope u can get this fixed man ill hold on to this for u whenever u need it

hmm, rose you goin to have to hold up a day or 2... i changed my plugs and the car is still acting up... 2 of the plugs went from totally black to what appears to be really lean now....

i think the problem could be my 02 sensors... so i will be checking them today... someone told me ur cat can get messed up, and that when their cat was messed up it had all the same symptoms my car is having... am i able to check the cat by simply taking off the midpipe and looking at it????

need help.. this is so frustrating

 

uh oh, do wat u gotta do to make the car run back to normal. ur still gonna throw a CEL cause of the header. but jus worry bout getting the car to run normal
