Default Question for you turbo/sc guys

Have any of you had to upgrade your axles? The bearings in my axles (according to my transmission shop) are starting to collapse/crumble/die/go out or whatever and they recommend i upgrade them... The only upgraded axles i seem to be able to find are from "The Driveshaft Shop" and they are of the stage 3.9 650hp variety.... massive overkill for my stage 1 application(and $1200 for the pair).... So have any of you guys upgraded axles? Do you know of a company other than the driveshaft shop that makes custom performance axles? Any help at all on finding some for a bit more reasonable price would be MUCH appreciated. I posted this over in the drivetrain section... but thought i might end up having more luck in forced induction

Thanks a lot guys....

Just go for new OEM ones. I don't think anyone here has upgraded axles.

actually, i believe that "tc4fun4me" has some upgraded axles if I'm not mistaken. But I think he got them from The Driveshaft Shop though...

How much boost and HP are you getting out of your stage 1 turbo. I'm not too sure on the meanings of the stages for turbos, but if your not pulling much extra (60 HP) I don't see why the factory ones couldn't hold it. I would seek a 2nd opinion... just incase.

I'm running the TRD Supercharger and i haven't had any problems or heard of any problems... like that; but if the transaxels can't take 200 HP+ i think i should look into replacing. I hope you figure it all out.

i would think they would too.. but its been less than a year and they are toasted.... and i dont beat on the car constantly or anything like that.. maybe my stockers were just weak, i dont know. since i've had practically no luck here, or anywhere else finding any axles other than the driveshaft shop ones.... i think ill just go with a second set of stockers and hope for the best....
