Default Question for ZPI turbo kit owners

Okay my buddy of mine wants to grab himself a turbo but doesn;t want to follow me in getting the turbonetics so we looked into zpi the one thing that scares him is that the site we were at (TURBO-KITS.COM) said the kit pops a cel and isn;t fixable with the sensor they sell....is it true that the kit does this and how do you fix it thanks

Should not be a problem....but my question for you is...why dont you go to the source and ask these questions? A quick call to them would answer any questions you might have on stuff like this.

I have a ZPI stage 0 and got a CEL only on the first day after installing the kit. 2nd Day did the anti-fouler mod and I have not had any more cel's.

Got about 6 months on the kit and still no cel.

Yea that should fix the problem for the CEL that it would give the car. If you didnt have the antifouler on that came with the turbonetics kit you would get the same CEL code.

If you get an anti-fouler, I'd pick up MMW's. It's welded at a 90 degree angle but just as long as turbonetics.

^^no problem. ZPI is one of the companies you should get to know. Perhaps the fastest Scions on the street come out of their shop.

^^ This is true. Never once doubted their ability to tune and make a solid turbo kit. Most of their kits run more PSI though.

What do you mean? Stage 0 - 6 PSI. Stage 1 - 8 to 10 PSI. Same as all the rest.

Sorry I thought they came set at 10psi. I just checked the site and they specify 9-10psi. The thought of running a stock stage 0, no fuel management, still scares me but it works.

How much whp was the 12sec (1bar boost) tC running that I've seen on their web site?

What does it matter as long as it runs low 12's almost 11's right...
