Default quick question about turbo set up.

alright so i just got my car inspected so i can finally get one of my kits on .

ithe one im going to use for now is a zpi stage 0 . was wondering if i would be fine running it at 8psi ? untuned ? and with stock injectors . i have 700cc injectors for my other kit but i dont know if i should run injectors that big on a stage 0 set up ?

any help would be much appreciated

I wouldn't trust driving around un-tuned.

FAIL

700's isn't that big on our cars for 8psi, you will probably be running around the same duty cycle as oem injectors. Meaning the injectors aren't working hard at all and will last longer also by running 700's you have room to turn boost up some.

Bottom line get tuned and upgrade your fuel system to include pump it isn't that much for to gain a lot of reassurance its done right.

Do things right or don't do anything at all.

NO to 700cc, and NO to 8psi of boost on a Stage 0 or like setup.

I need to pay more attention to the turbo you mentioned. Only 550's - no 700's

somethings to remember when it comes to engine and injector size:

1. is your fuel pump sufficient for what you need
2. is your fuel lines sufficient for what you need
3. do you need a adjustable fuel pressure regulator
4. There is a calculation for RPM of your engine to determine the max possible injection pulse with you can have at a certain RPM. I don't remember the exact calculation but it takes into factor engine cylinders, cycles (4 stroke), and rpm. Even though you think you may have big enough injectors you can use this determination to see if you really do at higher rpm ranges. For example you determine max pulse width at 6500rpm can only be 4ms and you are running lean and need to richen it up but you are running 4ms then you will need to see if it is possible to up your fuel pressure if not then you will need bigger injectors.
