i have the HKS ssqv bov and had it tuned initially open dump, then bought the recirc attachment for it and tried that out. It did make shifting a bit smoother, but it wasnt out of this world. Also i missed the whistle it made before i changed it, so went back to open dump.

Usually when someone says open dump, they are referring to the waste gate.

Recirculating dump and recirculating BOV is totally different.

But as for the BOV, lots of people run it - in fact it's on most stock turbo cars. Some people say its a great way to keep the turbo spinning during shifts - but you believe what you want.

Only if you notice the car acting strangely. It really shouldn't.

Just an FYI - I used to have an Eagle Talon TSi and I had a Greddy Type-R on it - it was recirculated and I could still hear it.. so it won't really eliminate the blow-off sound completely.

If you want to eliminate the sound all together, buy an OEM Bosch BOV used on factory turbo cars.

Re-read my post.

I said "only if the car is acting strangely."
