Default Reflash for ecu chicago area

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone in or around the Chicago area that knows of a dealership that carries the reflash for the sc??? Naperville told me yesterday they had it, but when i took it in this morning........no tool!

elmhurst installed a s/c so im sure they have the reflash i would say ask raul but yeah ummm try and call elmhurst and see

I have violated EPA standards by not doing the reflash before the instal of the sc or driving it to the dealership.... and they also stated i voided the warranty by doing it myself.

pure crap you cant VOID your warrenty just if any issues related to the s/c install and i think trd offers a 1 year warranty anyways so there full of crap let me try and get a hold of raul im sure he can be of more help

I feel the same. Just because i did the install at my own shop shouldnt matter. It is not like im out "polluting" the air lol. Thanks for you help on this issue Aaron. I really appreciate it. Where in Aurora are you? Im off of Farnsworth and diehl(molitor)

Full sevice.... Specializes in Subbies. Just a little 4 bay shop. My brother also runs one in Carol Stream that specializes in all foreign repair. Your not too far at all....

not like aurora is that big lol maybe ill stop by some time to check out your super charged tc and we can give the ppl the n/a vs s/c tc race that they have been wanting to see lol i would like to finaly loose to anther tc lol

Actually if you dont have the reflash done...you are voiding the warranty. You're producing alot more power and dont have the proper a/f ratio going into your engine. If your SC breaks or your engine breaks and you dont have the reflash done...you're SOL. The reflash is REQUIRED for proper installation of the SC. If its installed incorrectly, no warranty.

Im not worried about the instal. The car is just sitting and not being driven. He is stating the because they didnt do it bye bye warranty.

Ok first your warranty isn't VOID if you're not driving the car. The warranty on your S/C is the TRD 1 year parts only warranty since you installed in yourself. So it's still covered. I have a thread started about the warranty on the S/C. There is a link below.

which warranty lol? i was more concerned with the powertrain warranty....is it me or do alot of these dealerships not have there facts straight?
