? On Removing the lock/key on the S/C for the 08 tC
Alright, I just bought the S/C for my 08 Scion tC. I had already purchased the NST 9.5 lb pulley and Gates drive belt for the pulley prior to the installation of the S/C. I had asked the guys who installed it if they could remove the stock pulley, and install my 9.5lb for a larger boost. They told me they didn't have the tool/key to remove it, and told me it would void my warranty. So....after doing a lot of research, and trying to contact NST.... I came to the conclusion that posting my question on the forums would be best.
How in the heck do I remove the lock on the S/C pulley to swap out the pulley? Any kind of information will definitely help here.... I want that extra boost! =) Thanks.

wow... i will be nice and save you the headache. Grab a right angle die grinder and shave off two sides. Take some vise grips and twist. Or weld a socket on. Or shave off six sides so you can put a socket on... OR SEARCH... just bustin on ya. But your gonna get flamed.
There is a way to get the key off, it's McGard Intimidator key
they are generally pretty hard to find as they are specialized keys...the easiest way to do this would to weld or shave the bold but if you want to keep the bolt there's actually another outlet.
S2000's get their seats stolen ALL the time, upon realizing this, s2ki.com has set up a security outlet, a member of the website actually has access to those keys and actually those bolts, the only problem is that you have to show VIN for a S2000 because they fear you will go and steal their seats. if you want to go talk to the person uses the handle "Kodokan_4" over on s2ki.com
surprisingly, you will find that his name pops up on Scionlife and that he used to be an active member, i asked him for the key to help you guys but was denied as i don't even have a supercharger...yet when i told everybody to go ask him they told me to shut up and the easiest way was to just go and weld or grind the thing.
It's all on you.

If you have a death grip like me use vise grips and a hammer. Get the vise grips as tight as you can possibly get them then tap on it with a hammer to break it loose. BTW use real vise grips and not cheap knock offs. Go to the hardware store and replace it once you have it removed.
