OH DAMN!
1tc4u2nfv, you would not have happened to have a dyno of your car before you got the SC, would you? We were debating in another thread about how much the SC adds stock, but different dynos and different cars and different temps will put down different numbers.

Thanks for the quick post. Gotta love Scion Life!

Thank you very much!

now i wonder what the stock tC's numbers would be on this dyno like Mr. Meaty said.

and are you running stock bpv?

^I never dynoed my car before the supercharger but 99% of the stock graphs ive seen read between 135-138whp, only seen one or two get 140whp,BTW i'm referring to the 05-06 5spds, the 07-08 read put out closer to 150whp, thats why the sc 07-08 put out a little over 200whp. Yes i was running the stock BPV.

i agree, so that being said:

if the stock tc is around 138whp +/- and your dynoed s/c was 187 whp we can say that it is at least 50whp of a gain over stock.

also you were not at full boost. so an s/c hitting 7psi would dyno at around 195whp

^yea i dynoed 187 with just a filter, hitting full boost I would say 192whp easily so yea that well over 50whp on a very very safe reflash, with an emanage tune the sc can pt well over 200 on stock boost.

Unfortunately, I would have to say just the fact that installing the SC does not even let you hit full boost is another mark against it.
I'm SURE I've seen stock dyno's in the 150s. I can't imagine that the Umintaz intake (just a cold air box) added 15HP!

I'll try to find one.

by the way, what boost level did you manage to hit?

OK, found this:
Scion rates the tC's power output at 160 hp and 163 lb-ft of torque at 5700 rpm and 4000 rpm, respectively. Our test mule was a preproduction model that was modified with a polished AEM cold-air intake and a TRD exhaust, two enhancements that will be available directly from your Scion dealer, so we were unable to get absolute numbers for a bone-stock example. On our house Dynojet, our tC laid down 141-peak hp and 152 lb-ft of torque at the wheels, so we expect the modifications added around 10 hp more than the factory bottom line.
So I'll give you that. We'll say the SC puts down 50whp stock, yeah?

yeah that's what i was agreeing with ya Meaty 50 whp roughly

but yeah i know that the stupid bpv sucks but at least its an inexpensive easy fix

bosch 110 = $60
installs like in 10 minutes

that would give you the full boost and maintain the OEM look given the fact that the dealers won't even know the difference. (just the numbers 102 & 110)

I'm not sure what boost I was getting, but seeing as everyone here is hitting between 5 and 6, also someone I know just installed a trd boost gauge on his stock sc and was hitting 6psi at redline, so I would say I was hitting about 6.

Nice find, wayatt. Thanks.
so for the 06, we can put both graphs down by 5 or 10 hp, since the 07 puts out more then the 05 or 06.
But for the price of hte 07 kit, not worth it.

wow!! you hit 187whp with the trd s/c?!?! my '07 tc w/ trd s/c (stock pully) and bone stock did 206whp (and im pretty sure the belt was slipping, its @ the stealership right now for s/c problems)

1tc4u2nv: do you think you have a boost leak?
